Carthage Co. offers artisanal stoneware to beautify your table

We receive many, many, many requests to review products. We respond to the few that match our interests.

I will confess that I have a weakness for ceramics, from high-end to low-end. Exquisite bone china makes me tremble at its delicate beauty. Sturdy stoneware mugs urge me on to brew a mocha latte with whipped cream.

The photos of Tunisian stoneware imported by Carthage Co. grabbed me. I immediately replied, asking for a sample bowl (shown below).

It is gorgeous — and much more likely to used at our house than exquisite bone china. It fits nicely in your hand — even my stubby-fingered hand. The smooth finish cries out for handling, and the dramatic interior finish makes me smile every time I fill the bowl.

Carthage Co. organizes its stoneware into collections, but they will also help you mix-and-match or set up a registry.

Technical details: safe for the microwave and dishwasher — and lead-free.
