July 5, 2019

Found Property – 2:19 p.m. – 3500 block of Katella Ave. – The reporting party turned in a wallet found at the bus stop in front of the business. The owner of the wallet was contacted and would pick up the wallet from the police department.
Counseling – 4:34 p.m. – 3200 block of Katella Ave. – The reporting party believed that people were following her. She was advised to call the police when that happens. A log number was provided and the subject was given information on resources about obtaining a restraining order within the City of Long Beach.

July 6, 2019

Assist Outside Agency – 1:00 p.m. – 11700 block of Reagan St. – The caller’s son possibly took some drugs. He was conscious but mumbling. The fire department requested that police respond as well. Assisted.
Transient – 2:22 p.m. – 3300 block of Katella Ave. – A transient was reportedly trying to light plants on fire in front of the location. Party advised and will comply.

July 7, 2019

Hail By Citizen – 1:37 a.m. – Noel/Katella – A female requested counseling regarding issues with her windows.
Vehicle Burglary – 11:55 a.m. – 3700 block of Farquhar Ave. – The reporting party stated that a 28-year-old female came to her residence and asked to use her telephone and use the restroom. The reporting party did not let the female use her restroom. The reporting party later went to her grandmother’s vehicle and discovered that someone had entered the unlocked vehicle and urinated inside. No report desired.

July 8, 2019

Welfare Check – 6:11 a.m. – 10800 block of Chestnut St. – A male subject was reportedly passed out with his pants down. Police made contact with the subject and determined that he was reported missing out of Long Beach. The subject’s father was advised. Report taken.
Traffic Hazard – 10:20 a.m. – Los Alamitos/Katella – A female subject was reportedly throwing close into the intersection. Party advised and will comply.

July 9, 2019

Grand Theft Report – 12:36 p.m. – 10600 block of Reagan St. – Police contacted the reporting party, who had her rent checks stolen and cashed. Her checks were stolen in Pasadena and cashed in that city. Police advised her to contact the Pasadena Police Department for a crime report. Log item issued.
Counseling – 2:17 p.m. – 5000 block of Antietam Ave. – The reporting party requested counseling regarding a picture she had of herself when she was 16 with two black eyes, naming her parents as suspects. Counseled.

July 10, 2019

Counseling – 11:04 a.m. – 3300 block of Cerritos Ave. – Police contacted the reporting party, who informed them that the owner of a neighboring business did not have his dog on a leash, and it was aggravating the reporting party’s two little dogs. The two parties got into a verbal argument. The reporting party wanted the police to advise the other subject that he needed to have his dog on a leash.
Counseling – 7:44 p.m. – 11200 block of Bennington St. – The mother stated that her 19-year-old son was uncooperative and not following the house rules and requesting him to enter drug rehab or leave the house. The son was refusing to leave the home. Police previously responded to a verbal disturbance at this residence involving parents and son. The mother was counseled on seeking a formal eviction through the courts.

July 11, 2019

Traffic Hazard – 12:35 p.m. – Katella/Civic Center – The caller was upset and crying due to her call being broken down in lanes of traffic. A tow truck responded and the vehicle was moved.
