O.C. Sheriff’s Department seeking public’s help with cold case homicide

Porfirio Medina, “Pofo” Jr., is wanted for questioning in the 2006 homicide that took place Dec. 30, 2006, at 1 a.m. in the 11000 block of Santa Maria St., in Stanton.

Medina would currently be 40-years old, born Aug. 26, 1988. He’s described as Male, Hispanic, 5’4”, 135 lbs. black hair and brown eyes.

The victim is Paul Chiriboga, 21-years of age at the time; born Oct. 9, 1985.

On Dec. 30, 2006, at approximately 1 a.m., the victim, Chiriboga, was seated in his 1999 silver Mercedes and was shot in the head and killed.

During further investigation, the Orange County Sheriff’s Dept. determined that Medina is possibly responsible for the victim’s death. It’s not known if Medina has a vehicle and Medina’s family say they do not know the whereabouts of Medina. Medina has relatives in the Garden Grove area and could have relatives in Mexico and may have fled there.

“Medina should be considered armed and dangerous.” If anyone is able to locate him or knows his whereabouts, the Orange County Sheriff’s Office is asking the public to contact the OCSD immediately at 714-647-7000 or 949-770-6011.
