Free admission to recreation facilities during Parks Make Life Better! Month

The City of Garden Grove’s Community Services Department is celebrating July as Parks Make Life Better!® Month with free activities and admission to several recreation facilities, on Tuesday, July 30, 2019.

Dive into free swim at the following public pools, from 1:45 p.m. to 3:15 p.m.: Gary Hall, located in Eastgate Park, at 12001 St. Mark Street; Magnolia Park, at 11402 Magnolia Street; and from 7:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., at Woodbury Park, at 13800 Rosita Place.

From 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Atlantis Play Center, at 13630 Atlantis Way, offers park visitors free admission to the fantasy-themed playground and maritime splash pad.

The Sports and Recreation Center, located in Garden Grove Park, at 13641 Deodara Drive, will open for free drop-in basketball, from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

July is celebrated as Parks Make Life Better!® Month throughout the nation, and is recognized by the National Recreation and Park Association and California Park and Recreation Society. In keeping with the Community Services Department’s mission to create and celebrate a healthy and vibrant community, the department focuses on maintaining and enhancing its parks and recreation, offering safe outdoor spaces to play and be active.
