Rancho Los Alamitos presents Farm Dinner at the Ranch Saturday, August 24 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. The cost is $1,500 per table, $150 per person/$125 per RLA Member.
When Rancho Los Alamitos was a working ranch, food for dinner was almost exclusively from the ranch or nearby farms. On Saturday, Aug. 24, the Rancho returns to that tradition with its annual Farm Dinner at the Ranch. Chef Paul Buchanan will prepare a multi-course dinner strictly from sustainably-grown and locally grown food.
Guests will have a chance to cast their lot at the “Wine Pull,” peruse silent auction items, sample locally brewed craft beers, enjoy farm-fresh appetizers, be amazed by sleight of hand from a close-up magician, experience the “magic” of the Rancho’s blacksmith bending iron, and stroll through the Rancho’s famous gardens before dinner. The main event will be in the historic barnyard. Wine lovers will be pleased to know that Seven Angels Cellars will be there with a carefully selected offering of wines that will complement the menu.
Summer garden party attire and comfortable, low-heeled shoes for walking on lawns and uneven garden paths are suggested.
Proceeds from the event help support the Rancho’s educational mission, including educational programs for youth and adults, school tours and more.
