Attempted bank robbery at Wells Fargo in Seal Beach

On August 5, 2019 at about 3:42 PM, the Seal Beach Police Department received a call of a silent robbery alarm at the Wells Fargo Bank, located at 13916 Seal Beach Blvd.

During the investigation, Officers discovered that the male pictured below entered the Wells Fargo bank, presented a teller with a note demanding money and claimed to be armed with a gun.

The teller notified the bank staff of the robbery and activated the alarm. The suspect backed away from the teller window and quickly exited the bank.

The suspect is a male Caucasian, between the age of 40 and 55 with a large build. It is believed the suspect is wearing a wig during the robbery.

The suspect was last seen walking southbound from the bank.

The Seal Beach Police Department is requesting the public’s assistance with identifying this suspect.
