EMILY’s List announces early support for Assemblywoman Cottie Petrie-Norris

EMILY’s List, the largest national resource for pro-choice women in politics, has announced that it will be backing California State Assemblywoman Cottie Petrie-Norris for re-election. Assemblywoman Petrie-Norris recently released fundraising numbers that show a wide lead over her closest opponents.

“Cottie Petrie-Norris knows what it takes to serve the people of California’s 74th Assembly District. She has been committed to reproductive justice, job creation and equal access to education. EMILY’s List is excited to support her reelection campaign.”

EMILY’s List, the nation’s largest resource for women in politics, has raised over $600 million to elect pro-choice Democratic women candidates. With a grassroots community of over five million members, EMILY’s List helps Democratic women win competitive campaigns – across the country and up and down the ballot – by recruiting and training candidates, supporting strong campaigns, researching the issues that impact women and families and turning out women voters to the polls. Women make up 52% of registered voters in Assembly District 74.
