With devastating shootings by mentally unstable domestic terrorists continuing to make headline news, many people are concerned as to how to respond when there is an active shooter in the vicinity. James Potts, JD, who works with the Department of Homeland Security, FBI, CIA and other law enforcement agencies, will discuss how to recognize workplace violence, what to do when there’s an active shooter and other related topics at the Saturday, September 14, 2019 Long Beach Republican Women Federated breakfast meeting. Held at the conveniently located Long Beach Airport Marriott (4700 Airport Plaza Drive), the morning meeting includes information critical to Republicans who want to Keep America Great. Registration starts at 9 a.m. with breakfast served at 9:30 a.m. The cost is just $30 per member and $35 for non-members – includes free parking and a delicious plated breakfast.
Potts has been an outspoken patriot regarding domestic terrorism and has spoken in front of political groups, business associations, community-based organizations, schools, businesses, and has conducted active shooter training for thousands of individuals both in and out of the workplace.
He career includes assisting and representing employers of all sizes and industries regarding State and Federal employment law compliance for thirty-seven years. Throughout his professional career, he has attained a Bachelor of Arts Degree, Juris Doctorate Degree, and Real Estate Broker License. Potts is also an author, having published his first book, Right to Counsel, in July 2008 and the second one in November 2013 entitled Walking on Eggshells, Managing Minorities in the Workplace. A third book, The Master’s Will is currently under consideration by several publishers and producers.
