August 23, 2019

Truant – 8:23 a.m. – 4000 block of Cheshire Dr. – The callers’s son was reportedly in bed and refusing to let the caller take him to school. The subject was suspended from school but was supposed to go to an alternate school. The subjects were counseled.
Fire – 10:50 a.m. – 9600 block of Glenbrook St. – The caller reported a large house fire with black smoke in the area. OCFA and multiple police units responded to the location. Another caller stated that subjects were screaming. A caller advised that a female jumped out from the upstairs and workers in the area caught her. The resident stated that no one else should be inside. Two adults and one child were suffering from smoke inhalation out front. One subject arrested for child endangerment.

August 24, 2019

Hail by Citizen – 5:49 a.m. – Crescent/Walker – Police were contacted regarding a naked male subject reportedly running southbound. Police were unable to locate the subject.
Petty Theft – 10:19 p.m. – 6800 block of Katella Ave. – A female subject reportedly walked out of the business with $200 worth of merchandise. The female reportedly stole earlier that day, as well. The reporting party was following her on foot. Police made contact with the reporting party and located the subject. The business did not desire prosecution. The merchandise was returned and the subject was advised regarding trespassing.

August 25, 2019

Brandishing a Weapon – 8:30 a.m. – 9200 block of Valley View St. – A male subject on a skateboard in the swap meet was reportedly telling random people that he would stab them while flipping open and closed a pocket knife. The subject was skating by different vendors and ripping canopies with his knife. Police detained the subject, who was positively identified. The victims did not desire prosecution. The subject was arrested on an outstanding warrant for possession of drug paraphernalia.
Citizen Assist – 4:44 p.m. – 9000 block of Brownstone Cir. – The caller requested a check on the residence. The caller’s daughter’s purse was stolen in Anaheim during a vehicle burglary to her boyfriend’s car, and the keys to her residence and vehicle were in the purse. The daughter was concerned that the suspects went to her house to burglarize it. The residence checked okay.

August 26, 2019

Counseling – 7:21 a.m. – Undisclosed location – The caller requested counseling regarding an issue the previous week with an RV dumping its waste in the caller’s parking lot. The vehicle was not present at that location but was now parked on Briggeman. Police determined that the incident was unfounded.
Counseling – 12:43 p.m. – 5800 block of Roxbury Ct. – The reporting party stated that an unknown subject(s) stopped her mail in the first week of June for unknown reasons. The reporting party believed that her husband may be the person stopping her mail because his was still being delivered. The reporting party requested this report for documentation purposes for the United States Postal Service. Counseled.

August 27, 2019

Identity Theft Report – 7:57 a.m. – 5500 block of Lime Ave. – An unknown suspect reportedly used the victim’s name, date of birth, and address to obtain credit from four companies. Due to credit monitoring, all the applications were denied and no loss was incurred. Report taken.
Counseling – 8:13 a.m. – 9600 block of Walker St. – Counseling was requested regarding urine that was reportedly poured on the resident’s air conditioning unit. Report taken.

August 28, 2019

Counseling – 10:06 a.m. – 9800 block of Valley View St. – Police were requested regarding a student reportedly sending an inappropriate Snapchat picture to another student. Incident report taken.
Municipal Code Violation – 89:08 p.m. – 4400 block of Lincoln Plaza Way – The caller advised that a neighbor was using machinery in the garage for his woodshop business. Party advised and will comply.

August 29, 2019

Counseling – 11:50 a.m. – 9800 block of Valley View St. – Counseling was requested regarding a photo taken in the locker room unintentionally showing other subjects changing in the background. Counseled.
Brandishing a Weapon – 12:32 p.m. – 10900 block of Meridian Dr. – A male subject sitting out of the location was reportedly hitting a knife on the tables. Police contacted the subject, who was a local transient. The subject was not cooperative but did give up the knife and left the area.
