Melissa Fox backed by California Professional Firefighters in Assembly bid

In another indication of her wide-ranging support from working men and women and first responders, Irvine Councilmember Melissa Fox earned a powerful endorsement from the California Professional Firefighters (CPF).

In a statement released following the announced endorsement, CPF President Brian Rice stated:

“California Professional Firefighters is proud to endorse a dedicated public safety advocate like Melissa Fox. On the Irvine City Council, she’s fought hard for the men and women who have devoted their lives to protecting our communities. Melissa will protect funding for the resources necessary to keep our local neighborhoods safe and fight for working families in Sacramento. We’re with her 100%.”

Recently, Fox secured powerful endorsements from U.S. Representative Lou Correa, the Service Employees International Union (SEIU) State Council of California, the Orange County Employees Association, and the California Democratic Legislative Women’s Caucus.

After the June 30th fundraising deadline, Fox’s campaign announced that she had outraised her opponent, Steven Choi, more than 2:1, with Fox’s campaign bringing in a significant $174,515, while Choi only raised $77,785.

A career-long attorney, Melissa Fox has served on the Irvine Council since 2016 after winning an at-large, citywide election. She has also served as a Board Member of the Orange County Fire Authority and as Vice Chair of the Orange County Great Parl. Melissa has been recognized for her dedication to fiscal responsibility by the Orange County Auditor-Controller with the “Orange County Taxpayer Watchdog Award.” Fox has also been honored for her dedication to children and families by earning the “Hero of Children Award” from the Child Abuse Protection Network.

Councilwoman Fox is the Founder and Senior Attorney at The Fox Firm, a civil law firm specializing in business law and public affairs. In addition, she serves as Southern Vice Chair of the Democratic Municipal Officials, California.

Her service on local and regional boards and agencies includes Community Energy Partnership, Library Advisory Board of Orange County Library System, Newport Bay Watershed Executive Committee, the San Joaquin Marsh Wildlife Sanctuary, Chair of the Green Ribbon Environmental Committee, and Chair of the Irvine Community Land Trust for Affordable Housing.

  1. Shes a Democrat, so NO! We need to vote those Tossers all out!

  2. There seems to be a pattern with most of these Democrats running for office: UNION ENDORSEMENTS. This means union LEADERS are supporting Radical Socislist Democrats.

In the meantime newspapers like The Wall Street Journal are posting articles about how union MEMBERS continue to support President Trump and Republicans.
