NEW! Bushard Street Bridge Demolition

The bridge will be demolished over two weekends under full freeway closures. Additional demolition activities will occur during weeknights under freeway lane closures and on weekdays.

Please be advised that this work may be loud.

Bushard Bridge Demolition Night One:
11 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 14, to 9 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 15:

  • NB I-405 closed between Brookhurst Street and Warner Avenue
  • SB I-405 closed between Warner and Brookhurst

Bushard Bridge Demolition Night Two:
11 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 28, to 9 a.m., Sunday, Sept. 29:

  • NB I-405 closed between Brookhurst and Warner
  • SB I-405 closed between Warner and Brookhurst

Talbert Avenue Bridge Demolition Continues

A portion of the Talbert Avenue bridge was demolished Saturday, Sept. 7. The next portion of the bridge is scheduled to be demolished 11 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 21 to 9 a.m., Sunday, Sept. 22 under full freeway closures.
 
Magnolia Street Bridge Closures Continue for Utility Work
 
The Magnolia Street bridge will be fully closed between the I-405 freeway ramps for crews to install a water line.
  • Scheduled for 10 p.m. to 5 a.m., Monday, Sept. 9 to Friday, Sept. 13

Falsework Removal at Slater Avenue Continues

SB I-405 will be fully closed between Warner Avenue and Brookhurst Street for Slater Avenue falsework removal.
  • Scheduled for 11 p.m. to 5 a.m., Monday, Sept. 9 to Friday, Sept. 13

Closures set at north end of project for sign structure removal

The NB I-405/I-605 interchange and the WB SR-22/WB 7th Street junction will be completely closed for crews to remove a sign structure.
  • Scheduled for midnight to 4 a.m. the night of Friday, Sept. 13

Construction Activities

Harbor Boulevard

Crews will install piles for the foundation of the widened I-405 bridge over Harbor Boulevard.

  • Scheduled to begin Monday, Sept. 16, 7 a.m. to 4 p.m., and continue for several weeks

Harbor Boulevard will be reduced to two lanes in each direction and left-turn movements will be restricted from the NB I-405 off-ramp for Saturday activities.

  • Scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 21, 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. and again on Saturday, Sept. 28, 7 a.m. to 9 p.m.

Bolsa Chica Road

Crews will continue installing piles for the foundation of the new bridge adjacent to SB I-405.

  • Ongoing, 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.
