Orange Coast College Student Services available at library during evenings in Fall 2019

In an effort to better serve all students, some Orange Coast College Students Services programs will be available after hours in the OCC Library during the Fall 2019 semester. Staff from Financial Aid, Enrollment Services, Counseling, and Student Equity will hold evening hours on Wednesdays and Thursdays from 6–8 p.m. from September until December.

OCC’s Student Services has held evening hours during past semesters, typically in Watson Hall. However, the College decided to move the services to the library to make it more convenient for students who are on campus at that time.

“In order to help and meet the needs of students who attend OCC in the evenings, during the last few semesters we’ve offered extended student services assistance hours in Watson Hall on Wednesdays and Thursdays until 8 pm. For easier access, we moved our night services to the Library to create a one-stop service to many students who utilize Library services and are attending classes in the western side of the campus,” says Vice President of Student Services Madjid Niroumand. “The nights stay the same, Wednesdays and Thursdays, providing the most requested assistance in counseling, financial aid, and enrollment and registration.”
