Talbert Avenue Bridge Demolition Continues

Demolition of the Talbert bridge over SB I-405 is set for this weekend. Additional demolition activities will occur on weeknights under freeway lane closures and on weekdays behind k-rail.

Please be advised that this work may be loud.

Talbert Bridge Demolition Night Two:

  • 11 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 21, to 9 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 22:
    • NB I-405 closed between Euclid Street and Talbert
    • SB I-405 closed between Brookhurst Street and Talbert

Bushard Street Bridge Demolition Continues

A portion of the Bushard bridge was demolished Saturday, Sept. 14. The next portion of the bridge is scheduled to be demolished 11 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 28, to 9 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 29, under full freeway closures.

SB Harbor Boulevard to close three nights this week

SB Harbor will be fully closed between the freeway ramps so crews can mobilize equipment for future pile installation activities.

Scheduled to occur midnight to 5 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 18, to Saturday, Sept. 21.

NB I-405 on-ramp from SB Beach Boulevard will be CLOSED FOR ONE MONTH

NB I-405 on-ramp from SB Beach will be fully closed for approximately one month for crews to realign the ramp as part of the improvement project.

Scheduled for late September 2019.

Construction Activities

Harbor Boulevard

Crews will install piles for the foundation of the widened I-405 bridge over Harbor Boulevard.

Scheduled to begin Saturday, Sept. 21, for approximately three weeks;

  • 7 a.m. to 5 a.m. on weekdays
  • 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Saturdays
  • Crews may also conduct pile installation activities at night

Harbor Boulevard will be reduced to two lanes in each direction for Saturday activities.

The duration of this work may change depending on site conditions. Please be advised that this work may be loud. Dates and times are subject to change due to unforeseen operational factors or inclement weather.
