Cerritos Center for the Performing Arts welcomes back soprano Jackie Evancho with ‘The Debut’

She won over hearts with her charm and talent as a young contestant on America’s Got Talent. JACKIE EVANCHO brings that talent and captivating personality in the unique show THE DEBUT at the Cerritos Center for the Performing Arts (CCPA) on Saturday, November 2, 8:00 PM. Tickets, which start at $70, are available at the CCPA Ticket Office and cerritoscenter.com or by calling (562) 916-8500.

In The Debut, the multi-platinum recording artist matches her extraordinary voice to Broadway’s New American Songbook, giving classic Broadway hits a fresh, more modern spin. Evancho will be the first recording artist to embrace this rich body of work and re-invent it as her own.

A young soprano who riveted a nation at age 10 with her powerful performance on the popular variety show America’s Got Talent, Evancho has since ruled the Billboard charts with a variety of successful albums, including Songs From the Silver Screen and the No. One Platinum-certified O Holy Night. The Classical crossover singer has performed for the Pope, President Barack Obama, congressional and international leaders, and Japan’s royal family. Evancho performed at the 2017 presidential inauguration.
Billboard magazine named Evancho to its list of music movers-and-shakers under the age of 21 in 2011 and 2012 because the soprano’s “spellbinding, operatic vocals possess a power and poignancy that often moves listeners multiple times her age to tears.” A mix of operatic arias, show tunes, and Pop standards, her album Dream With Me debuted on the Billboard Top 200 chart at No. Two and was certified Gold. Her recent singles include Writings on the Wall, Safe and Sound, and Coming Home.

Evancho’s sold-out U.S. shows have been taped for broadcast on PBS, as part of the Great Performances series. Her Dream With Me In Concert became one of PBS’ most broadcast programs the soprano performing classic songs from movies – Some Enchanted Evening from South Pacific, My Heart Will Go On from Titanic, and Se from Cinema Paridiso.

The songbird made her acting debut in the thriller The Company You Keep, starring with legendary actor-director-producer Robert Redford.
