Cisneros named as a Conferee to the National Defense Authorization Act Conference

Representative Gilbert R. Cisneros, Jr (CA-39), Member of the House Armed Services Committee, was announced by leadership on the House floor as a conferee to serve on the conference committee of the House and Senate versions of the Fiscal Year 2020 National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA):

“It’s an honor to be part of the NDAA conference committee and I’m proud to continue the important work of supporting our servicemembers in the 39th District and around the world,” said Rep. Gil Cisneros. “As a Navy veteran, it’s a privilege to work with my colleagues in a bipartisan way to push forward provisions that reflect our nation’s values, toughen our stance against our adversaries, improve military healthcare and services to military families, and promote diversity and inclusion.”

House Armed Services Committee Chairman Adam Smith (D-WA) and Ranking Member Mac Thornberry (R-TX) recognized the following members of the Committee who have been named by House Leadership to serve on the House-Senate conference committee to resolve the differences in the FY 2020 NDAA.
