Holocaust survivor Piri Katz will speak to the Rossmoor-Los Alamitos Republican Women Federated club on Saturday, Oct. 26 about the horrors of socialism and her worries about rising anti-Semitism in the Democratic Party. The 91-year-old Los Alamitos resident, a staunch President Trump supporter, was born in Tibiva, Czechoslovakia. On the first night of Passover in 1944, Piri and her family were forcibly taken by the Nazis to the Munkács Ghetto. From there, they were shipped by cattle car to Auschwitz. Her parents, brothers and all but one sister were murdered in Auschwitz. She and her sister were marched to Geislingen and finally Dachau, where she was liberated by the American Army in April 1945.

Katz was recently featured in an Epoch Times interview where she denounced Democrats for using Nazi and Hitler references when attacking President Trump and his policies. She is especially angered when humanely run U.S. border patrol facilities are compared to horrific Nazi concentration camps.

Following Katz’s presentation, S. Harris Pinsky will share why liberal Jews vote Democrat even in today’s anti-Semitic Democratic Party. Pinsky is the founder of the Jewish Republican Alliance Orange County chapter. The meeting is held at the conveniently located Cypress Courtyard by Marriott (5865 Katella Avenue at Valley View) and begins at 9:15 a.m. with an Americana buffet breakfast. The cost is $25 for members and $28 for non-members. With Halloween a few days away, attendees can dress in costume as they will also be decorating pumpkins for blind veterans at the Blind Rehabilitation Center in Long Beach.

The RLA club, which serves west Orange County cities and greater Long Beach, welcomes like-minded women and men who want to impact local, state and national politics. Reservations can be made at: [email protected]
