October 14, 2019

Vandalism – 9:12 a.m. – Juanita/Ball – Spray paint graffiti was located on an electrical panel on the northwest corner. Public Works notified for removal.
Arrest – 11:57 a.m. – 5800 block of Lincoln Ave. – From a call for service, Police arrested a subject for possession of burglary tools.
Assault with a Deadly Weapon – Walker/Vessels – Police responded to the intersection for an injury traffic collision. Upon arrival, one of the involved parties stated he was shot at by an unknown suspect. The front driver’s side window was fragmented with a hole from an unknown projectile (possibly from a BB gun).

October 15, 2019

Disturbance (Subject) – 6:15 p.m. – 9900 block of Walker St. – From a call for service regarding a subject causing a disturbance, Officer arrested a male for a no-bail warrant.

October 16, 2019

Warrant Service – 7:28 a.m. – 8100 block of Gay St. – Police served an administrative search warrant. The residence was red-tagged as a result of their findings.
Auto Theft – 2:16 p.m. – 9200 block of Valley View St. – Sometime between 1 p.m. and 2:15 p.m., an unknown suspect reportedly stole the victim’s white 1997 Honda Civic.

October 17, 2019

Graffiti – 11:07 a.m. – Orange/Grindlay – Graffiti was found on numerous utility boxes along Orange Avenue. Report taken.
Graffiti – 12:14 p.m. – Valley View/Montecito – Graffiti was found on utility box, Report taken and agency notified for cleanup.
Indecent Exposure – 10:43 p.m. – 5900 block of Corporate Ave. – A male subject reportedly exposed himself to the victim. Police arrested arrested the subject for indecent exposure.

October 18, 2019

Stolen Vehicle – 6:51 a.m. – 4100 block of Cheshire – The victim’s black 2017 Chevrolet Suburban was reportedly stolen from her home at approximately 4:20 a.m. on today’s date.
Arrest – 7:49 a.m. – 9000 block of Grand Circle – From a call for service, a male subject was arrested for a warrant and salvaging through waste bins.

October 19, 2019

Prowler – 2:49 a.m. – 6300 block of Mount Ripley Dr. – An unknown adult male was reportedly captured on video surveillance walking onto the victim’s property and attempting to open the door to a vehicle. The suspect was not initially located, but was later found and identified (see below entry).
Arrest – 3:53 a.m. – Valley View/Lemon – An adult male subject was seen by officers prowling on private property near a parked vehicle. The subject was found to possess burglary tools, methamphetamine and a hypodermic needle. He was positively identified as the same suspect who was prowling at the residence on Mt. Ripley. He admitted to the crimes and was arrested.
Recovered Stolen Vehicle – 8:34 a.m. – 5600 block of Lincoln Ave. – Police recovered a stolen Cadillac SUV, which had been reported embezzled by Alamo Rental Cars out of Arizona.
Battery Investigation – 3:09 p.m. – 8600 block of Watson – Police took a battery report for a
mutual battery in which both parties desired prosecution, but each refused a private person’s arrest. No visible injuries.
Vehicle Burglary – 5:19 p.m. – 5100 block of New York – At approximately 5:18 a.m., a male suspect stopped in front of the victim’s house, exited the passenger side of a white sedan and used what appeared to be a key, possibly shaved, to unlock and enter the victim’s truck.
Bike Stop – 8:26 p.m. – 6300 block of Lincoln Ave. – Police attempted to stop a bicyclist for a traffic violation, but the suspect fled on foot. The suspect ran about 25 yards before surrendering. The subject was arrested for obstructing/delaying an officer, possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.
Suspicious Subject – 11:22 p.m. – 6100 block of Lincoln Ave. – A concerned citizen called about a suspicious person behind a fenced area of the business. Upon officer’s arrival, a perimeter was established and a male suspect was found inside a vehicle. The subject fled on foot from officers and after a short foot pursuit, he surrendered without incident. The subject was determined to have an outstanding probation violation warrant for his arrest. He was also arrested for obstructing/delaying an officer, prowling and possession of heroin.

October 20, 2019

Graffiti – 2:45 a.m. – Orange/Juanita – While patrolling, Officer located graffiti on a U-Turn sign and a no trespassing sign (railroad tracks). The graffiti read “47” and it was written in gold, green and black paint/permanent marker. This matches the same graffiti that has been seen throughout the city recently
Assault – 11:12 a.m. – 9200 block of Valley View St. – From a call for service, a male subject was arrested for a probation hold and assaulting other patrons of the Swap Meet.
Disturbance (Noise) – 10:22 p.m. – 6300 block of Lincoln Ave. – A neighbor reported loud music
emitting from inside the location. Officers confirmed same and found other violations of their conditional use permit.
