October 11, 2019

Disturbance (Fight) – 4:52 p.m. – 5400 block of Orangethorpe Ave. – The caller reported a possible fight pending between construction workers who may have been drinking. Police contacted the subjects.
Welfare Check – 6:23 p.m. – 5100 block of Del Sol Cir. – The caller stated that the lawn at the location had been dead for approximately 3 weeks, with the side gate open and the back door unlocked. It was unknown if the resident was on vacation or possibly deceased. Police made announcements and then entered the residence. No one was inside. Incident report taken.

October 12, 2019

Found Property – 7:05 a.m. – 5000 block of Orangethorpe Ave. – The caller reportedly found a meth pipe in a vacant lot. Police contacted the reporting party and determined that it was not a meth pipe. The piece of glass was disposed of.
Welfare Check – 8:00 a.m. – 5400 block of La Palma Ave. – A female subject was reportedly asleep in a vehicle. Police contacted the subject, who was determined to be an Uber driver who works nights and was tired and didn’t want to drive. Checked okay.

October 13, 2019

Traffic Stop – 9:28 a.m. – Moody/South (Cerritos) – Police conducted a traffic stop and confirmed that the driver, a 37-year-old Stanton resident, had an outstanding warrant. The subject was arrested and the vehicle was left locked and secured in the parking lot at the subject’s request.
Disturbance (Subject) – 12:03 p.m. – 5000 block of La Palma Ave. – A possibly homeless subject was reportedly hitting doors and windows int he drive thru. Police contacted the subject, who stated that he was upset that no one wanted to help him in the drive thru. Party advised and will comply.

October 14, 2019

Found Property – 9:17 a.m. – 7792 Walker St. (La Palma Police Department) – The reporting party stated that he found a wallet out front.
Suspicious Circumstances – 9:29 a.m. – 5500 block of Bank of America – The caller noticed the doors were unlocked and the alarm was sounding. Police cleared the interior. A faulty door was secured. Security reported no suspicious circumstances and only viewed customers entering/exiting the lobby. Checked okay.

October 15, 2019

Welfare Check – 7:31 a.m. – 5000 block of Scott Cir. – A male subject reportedly was writing license plates down. Police arrested a 59-year-old subject for a warrant.
Found Property – 5:40 p.m. – 5700 block of Parkwest Cir. – A Crock Pot with the lid off was reportedly left next to the caller’s residence. The item was trash and disposed of.

October 16, 2019

Vicious Animal – 7700 block of Laurelwood Ln. – The caller reported a vicious dog attack, with injuries to a female. The dogs were on leashes, and the female had scrapes on her elbow. Police and fire made contact and determined that the dogs did not actually bite, but the female was injured due to falling. SEAACA was requested regarding the four dogs that went at each other with minor injuries to two dogs. A report was taken regarding a fall on City property.
Disturbance (Subject) – 5:52 p.m. – 5400 block of La Palma Ave. – A male subject was reportedly in front of a store and yelling to himself. The subject was possibly mentally disturbed. Party advised and will comply and left the area.
