UPDATE! Magnolia Street bridge to close for concrete pours

The Magnolia bridge over I-405 will be completely closed for crews to pour concrete for the new bridge

  • Scheduled to occur Tuesday, Oct. 29, 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. and again on Thursday, Oct. 31, 10 p.m. to 5 a.m.

Dates and times are subject to change due to unforeseen site conditions or inclement weather.

REMINDER! Goldenwest Street to close nightly for utility work

The Goldenwest bridge over I-405 is set to close nightly so crews can conduct utility work.

  • Scheduled to continue 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. weeknights, for approximately three weeks.

UPDATE! Eastbound (EB) Center Avenue Full Closure

Crews are scheduled to remove vegetation and conduct electrical work along EB Center this week. This work will require EB Center to be fully closed at One Pacific Plaza Drive.

  • Scheduled to continue Tuesday, Oct. 29, 10 p.m. to 5 a.m.

REMINDER! Northbound (NB) I-405 on-ramp from southbound (SB) Beach Boulevard closed

Crews are reconfiguring the ramp and constructing new lanes on NB I-405 as part of the freeway widening project. Once this work is completed, traffic will be shifted to the new lanes, allowing work to continue on the McFadden Avenue bridge.

  • The ramp is expected to open Thursday morning; Oct. 31.

NEW! McFadden Avenue bridge columns to be demolished

Crews are scheduled to demolish the center columns of the old McFadden bridge. This work will require freeway lane closures but not full freeway closures.

Once this work is completed, crews can begin installing the foundation of the new bridge in the center median of the freeway.

Pile installation for the foundation of the new bridge is expected to begin on Nov. 13.
