October 17, 2019

Extra Patrol Checks – 10:15 a.m. – Moody/Windsong – The caller requested extra patrol checks and advised that they had almost been hit by a vehicle while running and that other vehicles would run red lights.
Transient – 7800 block of Walker St. – A female transient was reportedly walking through the parking lot. In the past, the female had used the showers at the location and had been verbally advised regarding trespassing. Police were unable to locate the subject.

October 18, 2019

Found Property – 9:32 a.m. – 7800 block of Walker St. – A clear plastic box with wires coming out of it was reportedly on the sidewalk in front of the plaza. Police were unable to locate the object.
Indecent Exposure – 9:35 p.m. – 5400 block of La Palma Ave. – A male subject was reportedly exposing himself in front of the business. Police arrested a 23-year-old Honolulu, Hawaii, resident for battery on a peace officer and resisting/delaying/obstructing an officer.

October 19, 2019

Assault and Battery – 11:07 a.m. – 5600 block of Orangethorpe Ave. – The caller advised that a male smacked a pregnant female in the face. No weapons were involved. No paramedics were requested at this time. An incident report was taken and the female did not desire prosecution.
Vehicle Burglary Report – 9:52 p.m. – 6900 block of Walker St. – A vehicle was reportedly ransacked via a rear driver’s side window smash. The reported loss included a satchel, laptop, and miscellaneous items. Report taken.

October 20, 2019

Area Check – 8:34 a.m. – Moody/Shirley – A juvenile was reportedly creating a disturbance by pointing a blue and orange Nerf gun at vehicles. Police contacted the juvenile and confirmed that the object was a Nerf gun. Counseled. No crime.
Area Check – 5:48 p.m. – 5400 block of La Palma Ave. – A baby and a small child were reportedly unattended in a vehicle. Police responded and found an adult inside the vehicle.

October 21, 2019

Public Works Information – 9:09 a.m. – Moody/La Luna – A large eucalyptus tree branch was reportedly in traffic on Moody north of Windsong. Part of the branch was removed to the median. Public Works notified.
Transient – 7:42 a.m. – 7800 block of Valley View St. – An unknown subject was reportedly sleeping in front of the business under a gray blanket. The subject had been previously cited. Party advised and will comply.

October 22, 2019

Vandalism Report – 11:53 a.m. – 8600 block of Santa Margarita Ln. – Three tires were possibly slashed. A brick was left between the caller’s garage and vehicle. Vandalism report taken.
Disturbance (Subject) – 8:22 p.m. – 5400 block of Orangethorpe Ave. – A subject had been drinking and reportedly attempted to drive, but the bartender took the vehicle’s keys. Police made contact and requested a taxi to transport the subject to a motel.

October 23, 2019

Abandoned Vehicle – 11:59 a.m. – 5500 block of Fir Cir. – A vehicle had reportedly been at the location since Oct. 18. It hadn’t been moved and the caller didn’t recognize the vehicle as belonging in the area. Police contacted a resident in the 5500 block of Fir and determined that the vehicle belonged to the subject’s friend, who should be picking up the vehicle shortly.
Traffic Hazard – 1:02 p.m. – 5000 block of La Palma Ave. – Tree branches on Moody St. were reportedly causing a hazard. The branches were removed from the roadway to the center median. Public Works notified.
