October 28, 2019
Suspicious Occupied Vehicle – 7:21 a.m. – Orangewood Avenue / Knott Street – From an occupied vehicle check, a male subject was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia.
Vehicle Fire – 4:42 p.m. – 4900 block of Katella Ave. – Officers responded to a report of a vehicle fire. Upon arrival, a vehicle was located in the northeast corner of the parking lot, fully engulfed in
flames. The fire was extinguished by OCFA. Witnesses reported seeing two transients near the vehicle prior to the start of the fire.
Residential Burglary – 6:50 p.m. – 9900 block of Holder – Occurred between 6 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. Entry was made via a front door kick with the loss being costume jewelry.
October 29, 2019
Welfare Check – 9:32 a.m. – 5900 block of Orange Ave. – From a welfare check, Officers arrested a male subject for trespassing and obstructing/delaying an officer.
Arrest – 11:19 a.m. – 9200 block of Grindlay St. – From a call for service, Officers arrested
a female subject for an outstanding warrant and possession of a controlled substance. Officers also arrested a male subject for an outstanding warrant.
October 30, 2019
Patrol Check – 12:39 a.m. – 5100 block of Cerritos Ave. – During a patrol check, Officers arrested
a male subject for outstanding warrants.
Assist Outside Agency – 1:10 a.m. – 9000 block of Katella Ave. – Orange County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to vehicles being stripped in the parking lot of an automotive business. Upon their arrival, multiple suspects fled from a stolen vehicle. Cypress Officers and K-9 assisted with the search. A suspect was apprehended.
Arrest – 12:12 p.m. – Orange Avenue / Valley View Street – Detectives arrested a male subject for felony vandalism and conspiracy.
Arrest – 3:14 p.m. – 6200 block of Marcella Way (Buena Park) – Detectives arrested a male subject for felony vandalism and conspiracy.
Petty Theft – 8:51 p.m. – 4600 block of Larwin – When a marijuana delivery man arrived at the location, he was confronted by three male subjects. One of the subjects reached into the delivery vehicle and stole a money bag containing $490.00. Suspects were last seen northbound through the alley.

Disturbance (Noise) – 10:22 p.m. – 6300 block of Lincoln Ave. – – A citizen complained about loud music coming from the business.
Traffic Stop – 11:09 p.m. – Lincoln Ave. and Moody St. – From a traffic stop, a male subject was arrested for DUI.
November 1, 2019
Homeless Outreach – 7:00 a.m. – Citywide – Homeless Liaison Officer assisted City Net with a citywide homeless outreach.
Disturbance – 6:27 p.m. – 9000 block of Bloomfield Ave. – Call for service regarding a male subject causing a disturbance at the residence. The subject had an outstanding narcotic warrant for his arrest and he was restrained from the residence. Upon officer’s arrival, he attempted to flee and fight with officers.
November 2, 2019
Community Event – 8:00 a.m. – 5275 Orange Ave. (Cypress Civic Center) – Community Clean-Up Day in the Civic Center parking lot. Officer Sanchez and the police explorers assisted public works with the ingress/egress of residents dropping off unwanted property. The event was well attended with no noted issues.
Traffic Collision – 11:51 a.m. – Cerritos/Moody – Vehicle versus bicycle, where the bicyclist suffered a compound fracture to his left leg and other moderate injuries.
Assist Other Agency – 5:41 p.m. – Walker / Twin Lakes – Buena Park Police pursued a stolen vehicle into Cypress. The pursuit terminated on Twin Lakes, west of Walker and the subject bailed out on foot. Cypress Police assisted Buena Park Police with a perimeter and with the apprehension of the suspect.
November 3, 2019
Suspicious Occupied Vehicle – 12:58 a.m. – Lincoln Ave. and Sumner Pl. – From an occupied vehicle check, two subjects were arrested for possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.
Suspicious Subject – 1:58 p.m. – 6800 block of Katella Ave. – From a call for service regarding a suspicious person in the parking lot, a female subject was arrested for giving a false name to
police and possession of methamphetamine.
