Medical Aid – 12:12 p.m. – 5400 block of La Palma Ave. – An elderly customer was reportedly in a confused state of mind. OCFA responded.
Petty Theft Report – 8:21 p.m. – 5400 block of La Palma Ave. – A bike was reportedly stolen from outside the business on October 28 at approximately 9:45 p.m. Report taken.
November 1, 2019
Petty Theft – 10:58 a.m. – 5900 block of La Palma Ave. – A male subject who had possibly been driving reportedly stole beer from the business. The reporting party desired prosecution. Police detained a subject, who was positively identified by a witness. A 38-year-old Buena Park resident was arrested for petty theft.
Welfare Check – 9:11 p.m. – Undisclosed location – Cypress Police requested that La Palma Police conduct a welfare check on a student regarding possible abuse due to behavior issues at school. Police made contact and determined that allegations of abuse were unfounded.
November 2, 2019
Disturbance (Family) – 9:58 p.m. – 5000 block of Via Maria – A girlfriend reportedly assaulted the reporting party. The subject had been drinking. She reportedly half grabbed the male’s hair, grabbed his shirt, hit his face and knocked his glasses off. Police made contact and following interviews arrested a 30-year-old female subject for domestic battery.
November 3, 2019
Counseling – 11:25 a.m. – 5600 block of Orangethorpe Ave. – The caller believed that an unknown subject put something in her hair and went through her refrigerator.
Counseling – 11:35 a.m. – 7400 block of Susan Cir. – The caller, a truck driver, reportedly found a knife stuck in the step of his truck in Santa Clarita. Assisted.
Disturbance (Subject) – 7:12 p.m. – 8400 block of Walker St. – A female subject was reportedly screaming outside the business and had stolen three packages of peanuts approximately twenty minutes prior. The reporting party advised the female to leave. Police made contact with the subject, who was advised not to return to the area.
November 4, 2019
Vehicle Check – 11:17 a.m. – 5500 block of Orangethorpe Ave. – Police observed a dark green Mercedes with temporary plates occupied by two subjects. The vehicle went through a red light and police conducted a traffic stop. Following the traffic stop, the passenger was released and the drive was arrested for driving without a license, no vehicle registration, and turning on a red light. The vehicle was left legally parked.
Missing Juvenile – 4:22 p.m. – 5900 block of La Palma Ave. – The missing subject, who attends middle school, reportedly told friends that it was his last day at school, but he was not moving schools. The subject was described as a male, 13 years of age and was last seen in the area of La Palma and Valley View approximately one hour prior. Report taken.
Patrol Check – 5:33 p.m. – 7821 Walker St. (Central Park) – Police located a juvenile in the park who had earlier been reported missing. The subject’s parents were notified and the subject was reunited with them.
November 5, 2019
Area Check – 7:55 a.m. – Thelma/Furman – A subject on foot was reportedly walking dogs without leashes. Police were unable to locate the subject.
Assist Other Department – 11:48 a.m. – 91 Fwy./Orangethorpe – La Palma Police assisted Buena Park Police regarding a traffic accident at the 91 Fwy. and Knott Ave. BPPD had sufficient units to cover the accident, so La Palma Police assisted to cover the city while they were busy.
November 6, 2019
Animal Call – 8:03 a.m. – Moody/San Juan – A dog, possibly a small shepherd mix, was reportedly in the roadway. SEAACA notified. The dog was reunited with its owner.
