November 7, 2019

Suspicious Subject – 9:43 a.m. – 4200 block of Robin Dr. – A subject was reportedly seen hopping a cinder block fence into the riverbed approximately 5-10 minutes ago. No crime.
Illegally Parked Vehicle – 8:43 p.m. – Crescent/Via Tina – The vehicle was reportedly partially blocking the #2 lane and no parking zone. Police requested Los Angeles County Sheriff’s for a possible door knock for an unreported stolen vehicle. The vehicle was towed from the location. LASO reportedly spoke to the registered owner’s wife, who stated that the registered owner left the vehicle several hours prior. The RO is a Lyft driver and should be working. The female was unable to contact him by phone at that time and would contact the police if any suspicious circumstances occur or if the subject did not return. The female was given the location of the vehicle and the case number.

November 8, 2019

Welfare Check – 6:18 p.m. – 5400 block of La Palma Ave. – The caller reported a toddler left unattended in a running vehicle. Police were unable to locate the vehicle after a patrol check of the parking lot.
Disturbance (Subject) – 8:14 p.m. – 5200 block of Marview Dr. – A male subject was reportedly in the street shouting and possibly hitting something. Police detained the subject at gunpoint. The subject slammed his head against the police unit. Paramedics were requested. The 28-year-old Los Angeles resident was arrested for resisting/delaying/obstructing an officer, assaulting an officer, and vandalism.

November 9, 2019

Pedestrian Check – 11:15 a.m. – 5900 block of La Palma Ave. – Police contacted a male subject and conducted a search. Police arrested a 26-year-old Buena Park resident for parole violation and theft of lost property.
Petty Theft Report – 9:03 p.m. – 6900 block of Walker St. – The caller reported the theft of a rose gold iPhone XS Max from a purse. The phone was valued at $1300.

November 10, 2019

Petty Theft Report – 10:52 a.m. – 5900 block of La Palma Ave. – The caller reported the loss of two boxes of “Take Action” pills. Cypress Police detained the suspects at Moody/Canterbury. The subjects were a male subject and a female subject with a four-year-old child. La Palma Police arrested a 27-year-old San Lorenzo subject for possession of controlled substances and shoplifting.
Assist Other Department – 12:20 p.m. – 7792 Walker St. (La Palma Police Department – A female subject was in the lobby with a wedding ring stuck to a swollen finger. OCFA was advised and responded. The female was assisted.
Unknown Trouble – 9:53 p.m. – 5600 block of Orangethorpe Ave. – The caller reportedly heard a female screaming for help. Police checked the area but all was quiet. Police contacted two subjects and determined there was a verbal argument but there was no sign of domestic violence.

November 11, 2019

Flag Down – 2:13 a.m. – 5000 block of Orangethorpe Ave. – An employee advised that his front and rear tires were flat. He stated that when he entered the parking lot at the beginning of his shift, he hit the curb. After inspection of the tires, it seemed that the force of the impact caused the side walls of both tires to puncture and the tires went flat over time. The subject would contact AAA at the end of his shift.
Disturbance (Family) – 10:23 a.m. – 5800 block of Calaveras Cir. – The caller advised that her juvenile son was reportedly throwing items at her. The juvenile was counseled. The caller did not desire prosecution at this time.
Medical Aid – 1:50 p.m. – 5700 block of Parkwest Cir. – A 92-year-old male subject reportedly had difficulty breathing. Incident handled by OCFA.

November 12, 2019

Illegal Peddling – 6:05 a.m. – 8400 block of Moody St. – A female subject was reportedly in front of the business, panhandling for coffee and moeny. Party advised and will comply.
Lost/Stolen Property – 9:36 a.m. – 8300 block of Sparrow Lane –The reporting party reportedly lost a diamond ring between 9:30 a.m. the day before and 9:00 a.m. that day. Report taken.
Stray Animal – 11:14 p.m. – Redford/Trafalgar – Police encountered a stray golden retriever and attempted to get it into the back of the unit. The dog was reunited with its owner at Sommerdale and Amberwood.

November 13, 2019

Drunk Driver – 9:30 a.m. – Centerpointe – A subject in a gray truck was reportedly possibly driving under the influence. The vehicle was parked on the curb in a bush. Police contacted one subject slumped over in the vehicle with an open container of vodka. OCFA was requested. The subject was arrested for DUI and transported to the hospital. The vehicle was impounded. Police requested the subject’s record for previous DUI convictions within the last ten years. A blood tech responded and the subject was cited and released into the care of the hospital.
Assault – 8:13 p.m. – 5600 block of Orangethorpe Ave. – The caller’s 22-year-old son reportedly hit the caller with his hand. Both parties were counseled.
