Senator Chang earns perfect score by leading taxpayer protection advocacy group

Senator Chang announced she received a perfect voting record from the Howard Jarvis Taxpayer Association, one of California’s most respected taxpayer advocacy groups. Only seven of the forty elected Senators received a perfect score for their tax related votes. Senator Chang has long fought against efforts to raise taxes on hardworking Californians.

“I am honored to be recognized by Howard Jarvis for my strong voting record to protect California taxpayers,” said Senator Chang. “I came to Sacramento to fight tax increases and this recognition underscores that priority.”

Throughout Chang’s tenure in the Legislature, she has been an advocate on behalf of taxpayers. In addition to the votes referenced by the Howard Jarvis Taxpayer Association, Chang was a co-author of AB 162, an attempt to prohibit a ‘cell phone tax’ that would further burden taxpayers in the state. She was also a steadfast opponent of the largest gas tax in California history.
