The Orange Coast College Music Department is hosting its first-ever variety show of musical treats to celebrate the season! Faculty and students will perform a variety of holiday favorites on Monday, Dec. 2 at 7:30 p.m. in the Robert B. Moore Theatre.
Singers, pianists, guitarists and ensembles will join forces to perform a variety of music, from carols to jazz to “The Nutcracker.”
“We’re going to do our part to get you in the mood for the holidays with a sampling of talents from across our department,” says Music Department Chair Eliza Rubenstein. “You’ll hear piano duets, vocal jazz, an incredible Nigerian Christmas song, a whole guitar ensemble playing carols in ugly Christmas sweaters, and more, and your ticket purchase will help make the rest of the school year ‘merry and bright’ for our students!”
The local community is invited to bring the whole family and get in the holiday spirit! Admission for the performance is $10 and tickets can be purchased at www.occtickets.com and all proceeds will benefit scholarship programs, tours, and other student opportunities.
