City of Buena Park seeks submissions for 44th Annual Elementary Art Show

The City of Buena Park invites K-6 students who live in Buena Park and its surrounding cities to participate in the 44th Annual Elementary Art Show. Student work will be showcased in City Hall from January 21 – February 19, 2020. The Awards Reception will be February 15 at 6:00 p.m. This year’s theme is: “We Love Artists!”

From Kahlo to Kusama, Kerry James Marshall to Pablo Picasso…who are your favorite artists? Do you share a homeland with a famous artist? Is there an artist in your family or are YOU the creative one?

Create art that reflects your love of a particular artist, a style, or simply freestyle using the materials that you love; crayons, paper, markers or paint. Have fun and fly on the page!

Submission Requirements
Artwork must be matted or mounted on matboard (no glass, framed, or 3-D work will be accepted). Three submissions maximum per student. Please include a half-sheet of paper attached to the back lower right corner with the student’s name, the title of work, grade, school, parent name, and contact info as well as teacher name and contact information. Entries MUST be submitted through the student’s school or through the artist’s parents. Not open to after school art programs or private instruction classes.
