December 16, 2019

Vandalism Report – 1:43 a.m. – Knott Ave. / Leilani Ln – Unknown suspect spray painted “GET LIT” on the southwest corner wall. Occurred sometime during the past 24 hrs.
Commercial Burglary – 7:30 a.m. – 4100 block of Ball Rd. – Occurred overnight, unknown suspect(s) entered the business via a front window smash and tampered with the cash registers. Unknown loss at this time.
Recovered Stolen Vehicle – 10:13 a.m. – 6300 block of Ferne Ave. – A vehicle which was reported stolen out of Las Vegas, Nevada was located parked to the front of the residence. The vehicle was ultimately recovered at the end of shift and removed from SVS.

December 17, 2019

Attempted Auto Theft – 10:21 a.m. – 5400 block of Mildred Cir. – Unknown suspect(s) entered the victim’s vehicle and tampered with the steering column.
Sexual Battery – 5:49 p.m. – 6400 block of Katella Ave. – Victim reported she was at a Christmas party over the weekend and left via an Uber with a coworker who groped her.

December 18, 2019

Vehicle Tampering – 12:10 p.m. – 8600 block of Moody St. – Occurred overnight, an unknown suspect entered the victim’s 2004 Chevrolet Suburban and tampered with the steering column.
Robbery – 9:16 p.m. – 11100 block of Knott Ave. – While the security guard was texting on his cell phone, a male subject on a blue mountain bike rode by and snatched the phone from his hands.

December 19, 2019

Pedestrian Check – 1:47 a.m. – 4900 block of Lincoln Ave. – From a pedestrian check, a male subject was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia.
Traffic Stop – 9:16 p.m. – Lincoln/Moody – From a traffic stop, Officers arrested a subject for two outstanding traffics warrants.

December 20, 2019

Traffic Stop – 2:47 a.m. – 11000 block of Orrs Ct.- During a traffic stop, the driver became uncooperative. Officers took the subject into custody for delay/obstruct a police officer
Grand Theft – 11:24 a.m. – 9500 block of Normandy Wy. – Sometime between 10:30 a.m. and 2 p.m. on Thursday cash was stolen from the residence.

December 21, 2019

Traffic Stop – 12:23 a.m. – 4900 block of Lincoln Ave. – From a traffic stop, a male subject was arrested for DUI. During a search of the vehicle, a loaded revolver was located underneath the driver’s seat. The subject was also charged for having a loaded firearm inside the vehicle.
Suspicious Subject – 1:19 a.m. – 4000 block of Via Encinas – Officers responded to the area for a person who was walking around with a crowbar. Upon officers’ arrival, a vehicle was observed driving away at a high rate of speed. A K9 Officer attempted to catch up to the vehicle, but the vehicle was found parked at the end of a cul-de-sac. Three young male Hispanics were seen fleeing on foot from the vehicle and climbing over a wall that led to Bloomfield Street. During an area search, a male was located who was possibly associated to incident. The subject was found to have an outstanding drunk in public warrant and the K9 Officer arrested him. Further investigation revealed that the vehicle was found to be an unreported stolen out of Los Alamitos. The males who fled from the vehicle were not located.
DUI – 2:49 a.m. – Norwalk/Carson (Hawaiian Gardens) – Police observed a vehicle swerve and almost collide into the bridge on Lincoln Ave. (Cypress). A traffic stop was conducted and the driver was arrested for DUI.

December 22, 2019

Arrest – 3:27 p.m. – 4300 block of Lincoln Ave. – From a call for service, a male subject was arrested for possession of an open alcoholic beverage container in public, public intoxication and delaying/resisting an officer.
Vehicle Burglary – 10:39 p.m. – 4400 block of Lincoln Ave. – Sometime between 7 p.m. and time of call, the victim’s Tesla had the passenger window smashed out and a backpack stolen from the passenger seat.
