Sedgwick earns the majority of votes from the California Republican Assembly

Conservative Don Sedgwick, the Republican frontrunner in the race for California’s 45th Congressional District, received the most votes from California Republican Assembly at Saturday’s endorsing convention in Orange County.

Sedgwick vastly outperformed his opponents, winning more than 50 percent of the votes in a multi-way stack up–a result that will give him a clear edge in the GOP primary.

Sedgwick’s Chief Strategist, John Thomas, stated: “In the race for Congress, there’s no question Don is the real conservative, ready to take on radical Socialist Katie Porter. The CRA’s support is a testament to our campaign’s momentum as we move toward March.”

Sedgwick said: “I’m proud to have received the most support from Orange County’s distinguished California Republican Assembly.”

He continued: “I’ll restore our Conservative values by fighting to secure our borders and to end illegal immigration, and I’ll fight against dangerous sanctuary city laws that threaten our safety. Americans will come first.”

*No candidate received at least two-thirds of the vote from CRA delegates, meaning no endorsement was given.
