The Coast Community College District Board of Trustees approved Julie Clevenger as the Director of Chancellor’s Office Operations and Government Relations at the January 15 Board meeting.
Clevenger comes to the Chancellor’s office from Orange Coast College, where she served for 32 years. During her time at Orange Coast, Clevenger worked in five different positions, including seven years in the campus advancement office and five years as the President’s Executive Assistant.
Most recently, Clevenger served as the Director of College and Community Services. In this position, she oversaw the Recycling Center, Swap Meet, Community Education Program, Facility Rentals, Mailroom, and Print Services.
“Julie brings a wealth of knowledge gained through her experience here in the Coast District,” says Chancellor John Weispfenning. “I am confident that she will help advance our efforts in pushing the mission and vision of Coast Colleges forward, to the benefit of our faculty, staff, students, and community.”
Clevenger has a Master’s Degree in Public Administration from the University of South Dakota. She was awarded Orange Coast’s Friend of the Student in May 2006, Coast Federation of Classified Employee’s 2007-2008 Classified Member of the Year, and Coast District Management Association’s Manager of the Year in 2019.
