January 20, 2020

Traffic Stop – 10:37 a.m. – Laurel Gate / Lincoln Avenue – From a traffic stop, a male subject was arrested for obstructing/delaying an officer.
Arrest – 4:30 p.m. – 6800 block of Katella Avenue – From a call for service, a male subject was arrested for a no-bail felony warrant and possession of heroin.

January 21, 2020

Welfare Check – 4:15 p.m. – 9000 block of Holder Street – From a welfare check, a male subject was arrested for two outstanding warrants.
Theft – 4:28 p.m. – 9200 block of Valley View Street – From a theft investigation, a male subject was arrested for burglary after he entered a restricted area closed to the public and stole approximately $800.00 worth of workbooks.
Robbery – 6:41 p.m. – 6800 block of Katella Ave. – A male subject was arrested after he attempted to exit a business with a shopping cart of unpaid merchandise. When confronted by loss prevention, the subject struck the loss prevention officer on the face and fled on foot with stolen property. The subject was located and arrested for robbery. Stolen recovered property valued at $823.94.
Robbery – 9:55 p.m. – 6800 block of Katella Ave. – A male suspect wearing a grey hoodie with his face covered exited the suspect vehicle and demanded the money bag. The victim yelled for someone to call police and ran back to the restaurant. The suspect and suspect vehicle fled eastbound on Katella. No weapon was seen and there was no loss.

January 22, 2020

Residential Burglary – 4:03 p.m. – 4800 block of Newman Avenue – Sometime between 12:30 p.m. and time of call, unknown suspect(s) gained entry via a window smash to the rear slider.
Residential Burglary – 6:00 p.m. – 4800 block of Park – Between 7 a.m. – 5 p.m., an unknown suspect(s) shattered the rear slider and ransacked the house.

January 23, 2020

Residential Burglary – 11:45 a.m – 9100 block of Christopher St. – Sometime in the past 24 hours an unknown suspect broke into the victim’s home.
Grand Theft – 9:31 p.m. – 6900 block of Jonathan Ave. – Today, between 8:48 p.m. and 8:56 p.m., three unknown male suspects stole $2,000 worth of garden lighting equipment and two check books from an unlocked Toyota Prius.

January 24, 2020

Residential Burglary – 6:23 p.m. – 4300 block of Dina Ct. – The residents left their garage open. While they were gone, unknown suspect(s) entered the garage.
Arrest – 8:56 p.m. – 4400 block of Lincoln Ave. – From a call for service, a male subject was arrested for public nuisance and public intoxication.

January 25, 2020

Transient – 8:54 a.m. – Ball/Valley View – From a call of a transient locked in a bathroom, a male subject was arrested for possession of a methamphetamine pipe.
Arrest – 7:15 p.m. – 9300 block of Moody St. – From a call for service, a male subject was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia and a female subject was arrested for possession of methamphetamine.

January 26, 2020

Traffic Stop – 12:17 a.m. – Walker/Crescent – A police unit attempted to conduct a traffic stop on a vehicle that almost collided into him, but the driver failed to stop. After traveling approximately a half of a mile (failure to yield), the driver yielded. The driver was found to be DUI and he was arrested.
Arson – 8:07 a.m. – Cerritos/Valley View – A male subject was arrested for arson after he unsuccessfully attempted to light a telephone pole on fire.
