UPDATE! Southbound (SB) Full Freeway Closures for Westminster Boulevard bridge falsework construction

Crews are scheduled to construct falsework for the Westminster bridge over I-405.

This work will require full southbound ramp, lane and freeway closures of I-405 between Springdale Street and Edwards Street.

Nightly closures are set to continue 11 p.m. to 5 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 28, to Tuesday, Feb. 4.

NB closures are set to begin early February.

REMINDER! Northbound (NB) Euclid Street daytime closures for pile driving activities

Full daytime northbound (NB) Euclid closures are needed so crews can continue installing piles for the foundation of the widened freeway over Euclid Street.

NB closures and pile driving are set for 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

  • Saturday, Feb. 1
  • Sunday, Feb. 2
  • Saturday, Feb. 8
  • Sunday, Feb. 9

UPDATE! Lane reductions, closures on Center Avenue for excavation, hauling and wall construction activities

Lane reductions and full closures on EB Center are scheduled so crews can excavate and haul materials, and form and pour a retaining wall.

Eastbound Center will be reduced to one lane, and the left-turn lanes from the SB I-405 off-ramp to EB Center will be closed for excavation and hauling.

Lane reductions are set continue:

  • 11 p.m. to 6 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 28, and Wednesday, Jan. 29.

Eastbound Center will be closed intermittently for forming and pouring a retaining wall.

EB Center closure is set for:

  • 11 p.m. to 6 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 30, intermittently for up to two months.

UPDATE! Northbound (NB) Full Freeway Closures for McFadden Avenue bridge falsework construction

Crews are scheduled to construct falsework for the McFadden bridge over I-405.

This work will require full northbound ramp, lane and freeway closures of I-405 between Beach Boulevard and Bolsa Avenue.

Nightly closures are set for 11 p.m. to 5 a.m. Monday, Feb. 3, to Friday, Feb. 14 on weeknights.

SB closures are set to begin in mid-February.

REMINDER! NB I-405 off-ramp to Valley View Street/Bolsa Chica Road is closed for approximately one month

Crews closed the NB I-405 off-ramp to Valley View/Bolsa Chica for approximately three more weeks. The ramp is being rebuilt as part of the freeway widening project.

The ramp will be closed for approximately three more weeks and is scheduled to reopen Feb. 15.

REMINDER! SB I-405 off-ramp to Springdale Street is closed for approximately one month

Crews closed the SB I-405 off-ramp to Springdale for approximately one month. The ramp is being rebuilt as part of the freeway widening project.

The ramp will be closed for approximately one month and is scheduled to reopen Feb. 24.

NEW! Goldenwest Street full bridge closures for utility work

The Goldenwest bridge will be completely closed so crews can conduct utility work.

Nightly closures are set for 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 5, to Friday, Feb. 7.

Construction Activities

Bushard Street

Crews are continuing pile installation and abutment formation for the new bridge.

  • Ongoing, 7 a.m. to 4 p.m., on weekdays.
  • Crews may also conduct pile installation activities at night.

    Talbert Avenue

Crews are continuing pile installation activities for the foundation of the new bridge.

  • Ongoing, 7 a.m. to 4 p.m., on weekdays.
  • Crews may also conduct pile installation activities at night.

Santa Ana River

Crews are installing piles for the foundation of the widened freeway over the Santa Ana River.

  • Ongoing, 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. weekdays
  • Crews may also conduct pile installation activities at night.
