La Palma Police investigating fatal traffic collision

On January 30, 2020, at 1:50 p.m., La Palma police officers responded to the 7800 block of Walker Street regarding a traffic collision involving a vehicle and a motorcycle.

Arriving officers discovered that a motorcycle, which was traveling northbound on Walker Street, had collided with a vehicle exiting an adjacent driveway. The motorcyclist sustained significant injuries and was transported to a local trauma center where he was later pronounced deceased.

The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and is cooperating with the investigation. The regional Serious Traffic Accident Response (S.T.A.R.) team is investigating the exact cause of the collision.The identity of the deceased male adult in his fifties is being withheld pending family notification.
