UPDATE! Southbound (SB) Full Freeway Closures for Westminster Boulevard bridge falsework construction

The SB full freeway closures for Westminster bridge falsework construction have been extended for two additional nights this week.

Nightly closures are set to continue 11 p.m. to 5 a.m. TONIGHT, Feb. 4, to Thursday, Feb. 6.

This work will require full southbound ramp, lane and freeway closures of I-405 between Springdale Street and Edwards Street.

NB closures are set to begin in mid-February.

UPDATE! Northbound (NB) Euclid Street daytime closures for pile driving activities CANCELED this weekend

Crews will no longer need to close NB Euclid this weekend.

Instead, crews will continue to close one lane on NB Euclid, between Condor Avenue/ Mt. Washington Street, during the day this week to complete pile driving activities.

Daytime closures are set to continue 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 5, to Friday, Feb. 7.

UPDATE! Eastbound (EB) Center Avenue set to close

EB Center will be closed intermittently at night so crews can construct a retaining wall.

The closures will be from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. and are set to begin Thursday, Feb. 6.

The closures will be intermittent and continue for approximately two months.

UPDATE! Northbound (NB) Full Freeway Closures for McFadden Avenue bridge falsework construction

Crews are scheduled to construct falsework for the McFadden bridge over I-405.

This work will require full northbound ramp, lane and freeway closures of I-405 between Beach Boulevard and Bolsa Avenue.

Nightly NB closures are set to continue through Friday, Feb. 14, 10 p.m. to 5 a.m.

SB closures are set to begin in mid-February.

UPDATE! Goldenwest Street full bridge closures for utility work

The Goldenwest bridge will be completely closed so crews can conduct utility work.

Nightly closures are set for 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 5, to Sunday, Feb. 9

NEW! NB I-405 off-ramp to Magnolia Street to close for approximately one month

Crews are scheduled to completely close the NB I-405 off-ramp to Magnolia for approximately one month beginning the night of Feb. 19.

The 405 Community Outreach team will provide detailed schedule, closure and detour information in future alerts.

REMINDER! NB I-405 off-ramp to Valley View Street/Bolsa Chica Road is closed for approximately one month

Crews closed the NB I-405 off-ramp to Valley View/Bolsa Chica for approximately three more weeks. The ramp is being rebuilt as part of the freeway widening project.

The ramp will be closed for approximately two more weeks and is scheduled to reopen Feb. 15.

REMINDER! SB I-405 off-ramp to Springdale Street is closed for approximately one month

Crews closed the SB I-405 off-ramp to Springdale for approximately one month. The ramp is being rebuilt as part of the freeway widening project.

The ramp will be closed for approximately three more weeks and is scheduled to reopen Feb. 24.

Construction Activities

Bushard Street

Crews are continuing pile installation and abutment formation for the new bridge.

  • Ongoing, 7 a.m. to 4 p.m., on weekdays.
  • Crews may also conduct pile installation activities at night.

Talbert Avenue

Crews are continuing pile installation activities for the foundation of the new bridge.

  • Ongoing, 7 a.m. to 4 p.m., on weekdays.
  • Crews may also conduct pile installation activities at night.

Santa Ana River

Crews are installing piles for the foundation of the widened freeway over the Santa Ana River.

  • Ongoing, 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. weekdays
  • Crews may also conduct pile installation activities at night.
