The City of Cypress has released its anticipated new app for mobile devices, called “Cypress Central.” City Staff demonstrated this new app at the February 10, 2020 meeting of the City Council.

Cypress Central provides a mobile platform for members of the community to connect with City services and easily access information wherever they are.

With this new app, users can:

  • Report issues such as graffiti, coyotes, or dead animals
  • Request maintenance for traffic signals, streets, or street lights
  • Sign up for Vacation House Checks from the Cypress Police Department
  • View the City Business Directory
  • Download the Recreation Guide and register for classes or activities
  • Watch video of City Council meetings
  • Read news and social media updates by the City

The app is available for free download through the Apple App Store or GooglePlay by searching for “Cypress Central” or “City of Cypress.”

The City Council and Staff expressed hope that the new app will ease communication between the City and the community it serves, an ongoing concern that has been highlighted at recent Council meetings

The next regular meeting of the Cypress City Council is scheduled for 7 p.m. on Monday, February 25, 2020 at the Cypress City Council Chambers.
