St. Catherine’s Academy (SCA), an all-boys’ Catholic school with military tradition in Anaheim, CA will be holding its annual Military Ball to commemorate its graduating 8th grade class of 50 young men on Saturday March 21, 2020.

The ball will take place at the DoubleTree Suites by Hilton located at 2085 S. Harbor Blvd in Anaheim, CA from 6-11pm. It will be a memorable night that will include a special mother-son waltz, military honor guard performance, special honoree presentations, silent auction, live music, heartfelt speeches, and more.

St. Catherine’s annual Military Ball is the perfect opportunity to celebrate the years of personal and academic growth of its 8th grade students. The event will begin with a wonderful color guard and drill performance led by the school’s military color guard team. Attendees will enjoy a delicious dinner, live music and one-of-a-kind silent auction.

The culminating point of the evening will be a beautiful mother-son waltz where mothers will be holding on to those last moments of knowing their sons are still their little boys. The transition from young boys to young men will be unfolded during this meaningful dance. SCA’s students were taught the beautiful waltz by Captain Ramos, SCA’s military personnel for weeks leading up to the event.

The students’ families will be travelling from all over the world to be a part of this special night. There will be heartfelt speeches by students, administrative personnel and honorees as well as an emotional video of the boys thanking their parents for their sacrifice in providing a transformational and educational experience at St. Catherine’s.

All funds raised at the event will help fund tuition assistance, allowing young boys to gain strong values and an exceptional education that SCA has to offer. Currently, SCA offers several scholarship opportunities for students in need.

“We are very happy to welcome the parents of our graduating class to be a part of such a special day in their son’s lives,” said Sister Johnellen, OP, Principal/Administrator. “St. Catherine’s Academy is dedicated to creating and building tomorrow’s leaders through prayer, faith, and a strong military tradition.”

St. Catherine’s is the oldest elementary school in Orange County and the only school of this type in the entire United States.
