February 20, 2020

Assault/Battery Report – 8:19 a.m. – 7821 Walker St. (Central Park) – A subject was reportedly hit on the head and rib cage. Report taken.
Incident Report – 11:08 a.m. – 8200 block of Regency St. – A computer was reportedly hacked and bank information was stolen and updated with a different address. The account was closed. No loss. No report desired. Reporting party counseled.

February 21, 2020

Patrol Check – 1:48 p.m. – 5000 block of Shirley Dr. – The elderly reporting party received a phone call from an unknown subject, and the RP and caretaker were concerned the subject who called may come by the residence. Counseled.
Petty Theft Report – 7:01 p.m. – 5500 block of Conifer Dr. – A package was reportedly stolen from the location at approximately 1:30 p.m. The reporting party had surveillance footage. Report taken.

February 22, 2020

Disturbance (Subject) – 6:12 a.m. – 7900 block of Walker St. – The caller requested assistance with a patient in the emergency room. The subject was reportedly spitting at staff. The subject had been dropped off by an ambulance to be seen for agitation.
Keep the Peace – 7:21 p.m. – 5100 block of Dover Dr. – Police were requested to keep the peace while the reporting party retrieved belongings from inside the residence. The RP’s wife had locked him out of the residence. Police made contact and the female half would not let the male half back in the residence.
Traffic Stop – 8:03 p.m. – Orangethorpe/Walker – Police conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle occupied by four people. A 58-year-old La Palma resident was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia.

February 23, 2020

Keep the Peace – 1:55 p.m. – 5500 block of Orangethorpe Ave. – A customer was reportedly having a dispute with an employee over a fraudulent $100 bill. Both parties were counseled. The bill was checked out and returned to the customer. The reporting party also paid up with the employee.
Medical Aid – 8:13 p.m. – 5000 block of Cadiz Cir. – A female subject reportedly passed out and was laying on the floor. OCFA was en route. The subject was conscious and breathing but had a head injury and was bleeding. The subject was transported to the hospital.

February 24, 2020

Citizen Assist – 7:13 a.m. – Walker/Pineridge – Police assisted a female subject to get her loose dog.
Assist Other Department – 11:57 p.m. – Orangethorpe/91 Freeway – The California Highway Patrol requested La Palma Police units to assist in an incident. A female subject was transported to the hospital for self-inflicted wounds. Incident report taken.

February 25, 2020

Suspicious Subject – 5:24 a.m. – Orangethorpe/Walker – The caller reported two males and a female on bikes with trash bags. The subjects were unfamiliar to the area. Police were unable to locate the subjects.
Counseling – 7:04 a.m. – 5100 block of Ivywood Dr. – The reporting party reportedly received scam phone calls from a subject stating he was FBI. The suspect requested $2500 to open a case to assist the reporting party. The subject also emailed the reporting party. The reporting party was assisted in blocking the emails and phone calls. No loss of money at this time.

February 26, 2020

Traffic Stop – 10:39 a.m. – Walker/Fresca – Police conducted a traffic stop and arrested a 42-year-old Riverside resident for possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of controlled substances, and driving on a revoked or suspended license. The subject was later released on citation.
Counseling – 6:28 p.m. – 7792 Walker St. (La Palma Police Department) – The reporting party requested a counseling call regarding a child custody exchange/court order. Assisted.
