Lots of customers wait patiently and while keeping their distance at Cypress Farmer’s Market

By the time we arrived shortly after 9:15 a.m. this morning, a long line had already formed at produce vendor Finca Bonita. Customers, some but not all wearing masks, patiently and politely observed a six-foot minimal distance while filling plastic bags with carrots, leeks, bell peppers, onions, and potatoes. Eggs by the dozen, baskets of berries, and flats of strawberries waited at the cash register.

Vendor booths were spaced further apart and Xes were chalked on the asphalt showing six-foot distancing for lines.

New this week: a fish monger and a live-plant purveyor.

Good selection of fresh food sellers, too.

Returning from last week: Vita Juice and the bread baker.

The Cypress Farmer’s Market is located in the parking lot of Cottonwood Church on the northeast corner of Katella Avenue and Lexington Drive in Cypress. It opens at 9 a.m. and runs through 2 p.m. every Saturday. Most vendors take credit cards, but bring cash just in case!

  1. Thank you so much Shelley for the article my company Enriched Farms / Avantii Harvest really appreciate it. We are the ones that organize and sponsors the market and our Senior On-site Manager Giselle Suarez supervises all the vendors on site.

We love serving the Cypress community and hope to continue to do so.

You, Giselle Suarez, Enriched Farms, and the Cypress Farmer’s Market vendors are all welcome!

We want the Market to be a roaring success, to keep customers healthy and well, and to provide an outlet for much-needed sales for small vendors.

      Stay safe, stay healthy!

  2. This farmers market has been a God send. Everyone is organized, kind, wearing gloves. The bread vendor doesn’t even handle your money he has a plastic box you cAn put it in and make your own change if you need to so he isn’t handling and then swapping out. The fresh juice vendor did let me know he will also do orders and delivery during the week for people. Hoping once this is all over people still support these vendors every week and remember they were here for us all during this difficult time.

  3. First time visiting. Picked up some beautiful tomato’s / strawberries/ radishes .
