By the time we arrived shortly after 9:15 a.m. this morning, a long line had already formed at produce vendor Finca Bonita. Customers, some but not all wearing masks, patiently and politely observed a six-foot minimal distance while filling plastic bags with carrots, leeks, bell peppers, onions, and potatoes. Eggs by the dozen, baskets of berries, and flats of strawberries waited at the cash register.
Vendor booths were spaced further apart and Xes were chalked on the asphalt showing six-foot distancing for lines.
New this week: a fish monger and a live-plant purveyor.
Good selection of fresh food sellers, too.
Returning from last week: Vita Juice and the bread baker.
The Cypress Farmer’s Market is located in the parking lot of Cottonwood Church on the northeast corner of Katella Avenue and Lexington Drive in Cypress. It opens at 9 a.m. and runs through 2 p.m. every Saturday. Most vendors take credit cards, but bring cash just in case!
