March 23, 2020

Robbery – 4:26 p.m. – 4400 block of Lincoln Ave. – Unknown suspect entered the liquor store and stole $10.00 worth of scratchers. The owner gave chase and mounted the hood of the suspect’s vehicle as he fled the location.

March 24, 2020

Found Property – 8:23 p.m. – Walker/Costco – A Cypress citizen found a wallet containing over $800 on the roadway. The owner was located in El Monte and responded to the Police Department to take possession.
Open Door – 10:30 p.m. – 5275 Orange Ave. (Cypress City Hall) – While performing a nightly security check at City Hall, an Officer located an open electrical room. The door was secured.

March 25, 2020

Commercial Burglary – 6:40 a.m. – 11700 block of Valley View St. – While patrol checking the strip mall, a Police Service Officer observed a window smash to the dry cleaning business. The interior was searched without incident. The property owner responded and identified the loss of a cash register, $50 cash, and approximately $600 worth of tools.
Traffic Collision – 6:01 p.m. – 5400 block of Lincoln Ave. – While trying to park, an elderly driver drove
through the front door at Señor Big Ed’s.

March 26, 2020

Burglary – 11:14 a.m. – 4300 block of Casa Grande Circle – Sometime overnight, an unknown suspect(s) broke into the victims’ carport storage by forcing the lock. The theft was estimated at $4300 worth of decorations and electronics.
Auto Theft – 4:18 p.m. – 5600 block of Lincoln Ave. – At approximately 12:15 p.m., (caught on video) two male suspects stole the victim’s white Ford F250 work truck. The vehicle was entered into the stolen vehicle system (SVS).

March 27, 2020

Recovered Stolen Vehicle – 3:53 a.m. – 9500 block of Valley View St. – During a patrol check, an officer located an unoccupied stolen vehicle in the south parking lot. The vehicle was a white 2001 Ford F250 truck that had been reported stolen yesterday. The vehicle was removed from SVS.
Grand Theft from a Vehicle – 11:54 a.m. – 9800 block of Via Sonoma – Between 9:00 p.m. Thursday night and time of call, an unknown suspect entered the victim’s unlocked vehicle and ransacked the interior. Loss was approximately $1900 worth of personal items.

March 28, 2020

Burglary – 1:30 p.m. – 5000 block of Lincoln Ave. – Between Friday and this morning, two suspects cut the lock on two storage units and stole approximately $30K worth of property.
Hit and Run Traffic Collision – 5:11 p.m. – Walker/Ball – Officers investigated a hit and run, injury-related traffic collision between a vehicle and a bicyclist.

March 29, 2020

Grand Theft – 2:00 p.m. – 4400 block of Lincoln Avenue – Occurred overnight, an unknown suspect removed the catalytic converter from the victim’s 2006 Honda Element. Loss was valued at $2,000.
Burglary – 2:15 p.m. – 6300 block of Lincoln Avenue – Sometime between 10:00 a.m. and time of call, an unknown suspect forced entry to the victim’s storage space and stole at least five duffel bags containing property.
Assist Outside Agency – 6:57 p.m. – 5500 block of Karen Ave. – A detached garage caught fire after a family member turned on a generator. The fire was minor and there were no injuries.
