April 6, 2020

Vandalism – 8:32 a.m. – 5500 block of Heather Way – Occurred over the weekend, an unknown suspect slashed all four tires on the victim’s vehicle.

April 7, 2020

Missing Juvenile – 7:41 p.m. – Churchill Ct. – Juvenile ran away from home seven days prior but had been communicating with her mother via text.

April 8, 2020

Recovered Stolen Vehicle – 4:09 a.m. – Norwalk Blvd./Carson – Officer located an occupied stolen vehicle southbound on Norwalk Blvd. The vehicle had been reported stolen out of LASO Norwalk with a known suspect. The driver was detained and LASO responded and took over the investigation and custody of the suspect.
Vehicle Burglary – 2:03 p.m. – 6300 block of Lincoln Ave. – Occurred overnight, an unknown suspect gained entry to the victim’s vehicle via window smash and stole approximately $1,400 worth of tools.

April 9, 2020

Missing Person Located – 8:13 p.m. – 4000 block of Churchill Ct. – – Subject returned home after being reported missing. Missing was in good physical health and was not a victim of any sort.
Arrest – 10:33 p.m. – 10200 block of Aurelia Ave. – From a call for service, a juvenile was arrested for an outstanding assault with a deadly weapon warrant.

April 10, 2020

Commercial Burglary – 4:21 a.m. – 4400 block of Lincoln Ave. – From a call for service of a burglary
alarm activation, responding officers located forced entry (window smash) to the front door. The unknown suspect(s) targeted liquor (Jack Daniels) and butane lighters.
Arrest – 10:27 p.m. – 6300 block of Lincoln Ave. – Detectives relayed to Patrol Officers that the
business was open and asked to take enforcement action if appropriate. The business is a non- essential business, which should be closed during the COVID-19 Pandemic. Upon officer’s arrival, two patrons were seen leaving the business. One subject was arrested for violating California Government Code 8665 – Disobeying a lawful order/regulation.
Search Warrant – 11:12 p.m. – 5000 block of Lincoln Ave. – Patrol assisted Detectives with serving a search warrant. Evidence was collected, which is connected to other burglaries.

April 11, 2020

Vehicle Burglary – 8:27 a.m. – Holder/Mt. Whitney – A citizen called in about finding a vehicle that had a broken window and cut convertible top. This vehicle was later determined to be victim of a burglary. After the registered owner was located, it was confirmed there was no loss, however the damage was estimated at $3000.
Vehicle Burglary – 9:31 a.m. – 9800 block of Holder –While investigating the above burglary, police located another victim. Sometime overnight, an unknown suspect(s) broke the passenger window of the victim’s vehicle and stole sunglasses and a payroll check.
Vehicle Burglary – 9:37 a.m. – 6300 block of Stanford – Vehicle Burglary – Sometime overnight, an unknown suspect(s) broke the driver side window of the victim’s 2017 Toyota Sienna and stole tools.
Vehicle Burglary – 10:48 a.m. – Orange/Juanita – Between 3:00 p.m. on Friday and time of call, an unknown suspect(s) smashed the camper shell window on the driver’s side and stole $200 worth of tools.
Vehicle Burglary – 11:03 a.m. – 6400 block of Orange Ave. – Sometime overnight, an unknown suspect(s) smashed the driver’s side window of the victim’s vehicle and stole her Michael Kols purse.
Vehicle Burglary – 2:38 p.m. – 8600 block of Sumner – Sometime overnight, the victim’s 2002 Mitsubishi Lancer was broken into. The suspect(s) smashed the passenger window of the vehicle but any loss was still unknown at this time.

April 12, 2020

Traffic Stop – 2:47 a.m. – Noel/Green – From a traffic stop, one subject was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia, and two other subjects were arrested for possession of methamphetamine.
Recovered Stolen Vehicle – 6:29 p.m. – 11100 block of Holder St. – From a call for service, an officer recovered a stolen 2015 Honda Civic. The vehicle was stolen out of Cypress on August 21, 2019.
