Los Alamitos Neighborhood Drive Thru Series presents: Front Yard Fort

The MemorialCare Miller Children’s & Women’s Hospital Long Beach Los Alamitos Neighborhood Drive Thru Series: Front Yard Fort was held on Friday, May 1. Los Alamitos residents were encouraged to build a fort in any of the following categories for a chance to win a $25 gift card to a Los Alamitos restaurant: Patriotic, North Pole theme, and Celebration Party theme. Numerous residents participated in the challenge and created a variety of forts for the community to enjoy. A video highlighting photos of the Front Yard Fort and its winners can be viewed on the Los Alamitos Recreation & Community Services’ Department’s social media accounts.

The next MemorialCare Miller Children’s & Women’s Hospital Long Beach Los Alamitos Neighborhood Drive Thru Series is on Friday, May 8 from 3:00pm-5:00pm. Los Alamitos residents are encouraged to compete in the “Movie On Your Green” challenge by recreating a movie or movie scene with stuffed animals and other creative items. Residents will be judged in three categories for a chance to win a $25 gift card to a Los Alamitos Restaurant: Best Animation Movie, Best Spooktacular Movie, and Best Superhero Movie.

The upcoming MemorialCare Miller Children’s & Women’s Hospital Long Beach Los Alamitos Neighborhood Drive Thru Series will be on Friday, May 15 from 3:00pm-5:00pm. Los Alamitos residents are encouraged to compete in the “Lawn Land” challenge by creating a theme park in their front yard using stuffed animals and other creative items. Residents will be judged in three categories for a chance to win a $25 gift card to a Los Alamitos restaurant: Best Original Theme Park, Best Ride, and Best Replica of an Existing Theme Park. Neighbors are encouraged to view the Drive Thru series but please remember to wear a face covering in public and to practice social distancing.
