Coronavirus update from Mayor Rogers

In the weekly video update on behalf of the Lakewood City Council, Mayor Todd Rogers indicates how the updated L.A. County Public Health Order will impact Lakewood. Lakewood must follows the rules and restrictions of L.A. County Public Health.

Rogers announces that Home Run Dog Park in Lakewood (Del Amo & Studebaker) has reopened because of the loosening of restrictions in the county Public Health Order. Lakewood Country Club golf course and tennis courts and the Nature Trail along the San Gabriel River have also reopened. The restroom and water fountains are closed at the dog park, so residents should bring bottled water for themselves and their dogs…and bring hand sanitizer.

Rogers also indicates that the City of Lakewood is working to help as many Lakewood businesses as possible open up, consistent with the county’s safety rules.

Lastly, Rogers describes how the city, in partnership with Lakewood veterans organizations, has crafted a “virtual” Memorial Day Ceremony that will provide a way for residents to honor those who have given their lives in service to our nation. See the article below for details.
