Are you the next “Voice of Garden Grove”?

The Garden Grove Community Foundation is looking for vocally talented local high school students to compete in the 9th annual The Voice of Garden Grove singing competition for a chance to win $500 and the title “The Voice of Garden Grove 2020.” Another $500 will be donated towards the winning student’s high school choir program. In the event that the winner attends either a private school or is homeschooled, the money for the choir program will go to the GGUSD Visual & Performing Arts Department.

To be considered an official contestant of The Voice of Garden Grove, students must be in grade level 9-12 and enrolled in a Garden Grove Unified School District high school or live in Garden Grove (includes private school and homeschool).

Due to COVID-19, the competition will be moving to an online format. Students who are interested in participating are encouraged to sign up by visiting www.ggcf.com/thevoice or emailing [email protected] Information regarding guidelines for audition tapes will be shared via email with participants, and all audition tapes must be submitted by Tuesday, June 30th, 2020.

The Garden Grove Community Foundation supports education and the arts in the community and recognizes the degree of young talent within the city. The Voice of Garden Grove is one way the Foundation can provide performance and
scholarship opportunities for local high school students, and support the arts in the community.

  1. Love this competition for school kids. It used to be held before “Concerts in Eastgate Park.” Will that “Free Summer Concert Series 2020,” be live this Summer?
