June 1, 2020

Burglary – 1:03 a.m. – 4600 block of Lincoln – Officers responded regarding a burglary in progress. Five storage units were found to have been forced open but officers were unable to determine a loss at the time of the report. Three to five suspects were seen fleeing on foot into the Hyatt Die Cast property. A perimeter and area search was performed with assistance from another police department. No suspects were found.
Vehicle Burglary – 10:11 a.m. – 11000 block of Knott Ave. – Occurred overnight, an unknown suspect broke into the victim’s white Ford Transit via a window smash and stole a battery.

June 2, 2020

Missing Juvenile – 4:11 a.m. – Alderbury St. – A missing juvenile was located sleeping in the back of a pickup truck. The parents responded and picked the juvenile up. Ten minutes later, the father again reported the juvenile missing again.

Grand Theft from Vehicle – 12:45 p.m. – 10200 block of Aqueduct – Sometime between Tuesday at p.m. and the time of call, an unknown suspect broke into the victim’s work van, possibly by an unlocked door and stole tools, a dash camera and a vacuum, valued at $1500.

June 5, 2020

Trespassing Violation – 6:21 a.m. – 10000 block of Valley View – Officers contacted and advised a transient of trespassing. Due to barricading himself inside his inoperative van, no arrest was made at this time, but a criminal complaint will be filed with the Orange County District Attorney’s Office.
Graffiti – 9:29 a.m – 4500 block of Avenida Granada – Graffiti was located on the cement of the skate park in the form of white paint and black marker. The word “Scheme” was written along with other indistinguishable words. Estimated damage was $500 and a message was sent to public works for cleanup.
Fraud – 12:48 p.m. – 6600 block of Katella Ave. – A subject was contacted after he tried to withdraw
$50,000 from his account. A check for that amount had been deposited into his account on Thursday through the ATM. The check had been stolen and the credit union was working on obtaining video images of the deposit to confirm if it was the subject who made it. Subject was identified and a fraud report was taken pending follow up for a criminal complaint filing.

June 6, 2020

Arrest – 2:21 a.m. – 4900 block of Merten Ave. – From a fight call for service, police conducted a traffic stop on a fleeing vehicle from the scene. The driver was arrested for sales and transportation of methamphetamine.
Vehicle Burglary – 5:49 a.m. – 5200 block of Bishop – Sometime overnight, an unknown suspect entered the victim’s work truck by prying the driver’s door. The loss was $62,000 worth of tools.
Theft – 3:55 p.m. – 5400 block of Katella Ave. – The victim had her wallet stolen while she was distracted paying for her items. Within a few minutes of the theft, the suspect attempted to use her credit cards at Target. No suspect description.

June 7, 2020

Arrest – 11:50 a.m. – 9200 block of Valley View St. – A male subject was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia.
Domestic Violence – 5:30 p.m. – 9000 block of Holder – From a call for service, a female subject was arrested for domestic violence. An emergency protection order was obtained for the victim.
