Fourth of July flyover for La Habra, Buena Park, and Orange

The cities of Buena Park, Orange and La Habra have joined forces to commemorate our freedom by co-hosting a flyover on Saturday, July 4, 2020. The planes will take off out of John Wayne Airport and conduct flyover in formation beginning at 2:00pm. Approximate flyover times are Orange (2:00 pm), then Buena Park (2:15 pm), followed by La Habra (2:30 pm) with a view time lasting approximately five minutes.

On July 4th, you’ll be able to see one stunning C-47 and two Marchetti SF-260s soar through the sky in celebration of independence day. The C-47, recently christened “Willa Dean”, has had a long and successful service life since 1945! “Willa Dean” carries the colors of the 440th Troop Carrier Group’s 97th Troop Carrier Squadron, complete with D-Day Invasion Stripes. The two Marchetti SF-260s you will see flying above you are both air combat ready fighters, from Air Combat USA, based at the Lyon Air Museum at Orange County’s SNA Airport. The SF-260s are fast, maneuverable, light on the controls and strong enough to pull six times the force of gravity! Their best feature is that they are also very easy to learn to fly and teach folks interested in learning what it was like to perform aerial dogfights in fighters in WWII.

So be sure to look up at the sky between 2:00 p.m. and 2:30 p.m.! You won’t want to miss this spectacular sight!
