Great Pacific Airshow announces cancellation for 2020

After a year of planning to make The Great Pacific Airshow 2020 the most amazing yet, it is with a heavy heart that I must announce the cancellation of this year’s event scheduled for September 18-20.

Our team has worked tirelessly to curate a spectacular family-friendly, patriotic weekend featuring the finest aviators in the world for your enjoyment. Recently, we have exhausted all possible contingent scenarios in consideration of the COVID-19 crisis.

I would like to personally thank all of our partners at the federal, state, county and local levels for helping us to leave no stone unturned as we searched for a path forward. Cancellation was truly our last choice.

Let there be no speculation about the future of this great event. The Great Pacific Airshow will take to the skies over Huntington Beach again next year, bigger and better than ever before!

On behalf of the entire Pacific Airshow team, THANK YOU to each and every one of you for your support of this amazing event. While we’re sad for 2020, we know the best is yet to come and our team will be working hard behind the scenes to make it happen!

  1. All these cancellations (sports games, Pageant of the Masters, Rose Parade, July Fourth fireworks, this event) just shows that today’s United States of America lacks the strength of past generations. The USA of yesterday would have figured out ways to hold these events even with restrictions. Today’s USA puts out a press release canceling the event. What happened to the “can do” attitude that got us to land a man on the moon?

    1. We can’t even get Americans to adopt a “can do” attitude to wear simple face masks during a global pandemic. This is the cost of selfishness..
