In another testament to his overwhelming support from prominent California leaders, today Westminster Councilmember Sergio Contreras announced a powerful endorsement from California State Controller Betty Yee.
In a statement released with the announced endorsement, Controller Yee commented:
“We need common-sense representation on our county boards that prioritize the concerns of working families. Sergio Contreras has proven that he will deliver for Orange County’s most vulnerable residents on the Board of Supervisors. During the ongoing crisis, Sergio has been fighting to ensure that frontline workers in his community have the support they need, and on the Westminster City Council, he’s been an effective, solutions-oriented leader. I know Sergio will be a leader on the Orange County Board of Supervisors and I’m excited to endorse him.”
Orange County’s First District of the Board of Supervisors continues to be a ripe red-to-blue flip opportunity for Democrats.
