August 6, 2020

Walkaway – 7:45 p.m. – 7900 block of Walker St. – A subject reportedly walked out wearing a hospital gown. Police performed a pedestrian stop on the subject, who was in an altered mental state. The subject was detained at Taser-point and subsequently arrested for resisting an officer and violating pedestrian signals. The subject’s family responded and the subject was released on citation to his family at 12:26 a.m.
Suspicious Subject – 8:28 p.m. – 8100 block of Walker St. – A subject was reportedly seen crawling under the fence and possibly attempting to enter a classroom. A custodian did a walkthrough of the area the subject was in and there was nothing suspicious. Police field interviewed the subject and were unable to determine a crime.

August 7, 2020

Citizen Assist – 9:40 a.m. – Bourbon/Decatur – An unknown male subject was reportedly seen spraying an unknown substance in the area one hour prior. The caller was concerned that the subject was casing. Everything checked okay.
Suspicious Circumstances – 9:58 p.m. – 4500 block of Trafalgar Dr. – An unknown subject was reportedly ringing the doorbell multiple times. Police were unable to locate the subject.

August 8, 2020

Extra Patrol Check – 11:10 a.m. – Undisclosed location – The caller found his vehicle broken into that morning. No report desired. Extra patrol checks requested for one week.

August 9, 2020

Police Information – 9:14 p.m. – Walker/Crescent – Deputies notified La Palma Police that they were in pursuit of a possible DUI driver in the area. Units advised.
Drunk Driver – 4:05 p.m. – 5400 block of La Palma Ave. – The caller reportedly observed a possibly intoxicated subject inside the business. The clerk denied an alcohol purchase because of her behavior. Police were unable to locate the subject.

August 10, 2020

Suspicious Circumstances – 6:11 p.m. – La Palma/Bravo – The caller believed that she found remains from a child and advised that she was very disturbed by what she saw. Police determined that the subject confused a broken piece of bark as human remains.
Disturbance (Neighbors) – 9:22 p.m. – 5200 block of Los Encantos Cir. – The reporting party believed that his neighbor to the rear was “snooping over the gate.” Parties counseled.

August 11, 2020

Disturbance (Party) – 10:20 p.m. – 5500 block of Conifer Dr. – There was reportedly music and loud people in the backyard of the location. Party advised and will comply. First response given.
Disturbance (Party) – 10:20 p.m. – 5500 block of Conifer Dr. – Second call for noise complaint. Party advised and will comply. The music was turned off.

August 12, 2020

Vandalism Report – 2:17 a.m. – 5400 block of La Palma Ave. – A subject reportedly ran at the reporting party with a sharp object, possibly a screwdriver. The reporting party did not desire prosecution and wanted the subject counseled if he was located. Report taken.

August 13, 2020

Counseling – 7:16 a.m. – 7100 block of Monterey Ln. – The caller requested counseling regarding issues with the neighbor. The caller believed that the neighbor threw a cactus over the fence onto his patio. The caller was counseled and would be contacting City Code Enforcement.
Grand Theft Report – 3:01 p.m. – 7600 block of Sierra Cir. – The caller reported the theft of a tailgate from a 2014 Toyota Tundra, valued at $2000. The caller had video surveillance. Report taken.
