August 27, 2020

Traffic Hazard – 1:47 p.m. – 5600 block of Orangethorpe Ave. – The caller stated that the signal was not phasing properly and traffic was backing up on the eastbound 91 Fwy. Police sat through two cycles and determined that the signal was phasing properly and that no traffic was backing up onto the 91. CalTrans notified.

August 28, 2020

Patrol Check – 1:26 a.m. – 7700 block of Valley View St. – A female subject was slumped over in a vehicle with an open door. Police contacted the subject’s daughter, who arrived to take possession of her mother.
Health and Safety – 6:24 p.m. – 7900 block of Louise Ln. – Two subjects were reportedly seen following an Amazon truck, possibly looking for packages. Police arrested a 40-year-old Anaheim resident for possession of controlled substances and an outstanding misdemeanor warrant.

August 29, 2020

Disturbance (Subject) – 8:13 a.m. – 5400 block of La Palma Ave. – The caller reported a verbal disturbance with a subject who was refusing to put on a mask. Police made contact. The subject was refused business and would be going to a different business.
Pedestrian Check – 9:28 p.m. – 5000 block of Orangethorpe Ave. – Police contacted a female subject, who was subsequently arrested for an outstanding felony warrant.

August 30, 2020

Traffic Stop – 12:50 a.m. – Valley View/91 Fwy. – Police conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle that initially failed to yield. During the traffic stop, police searched the vehicle and subsequently arrested a 43-year-old Cypress resident for possession of controlled substances, possession of drug paraphernalia, driving without a license, and other charges.
Unknown Trouble – 10:21 a.m. – Valley View/Fresca – A subject was reportedly yelling and crying. Police conducted a search and arrested a 29-year-old Whittier resident for theft of lost property.
Assault/Battery – 10:09 p.m. – 5400 block of La Palma Ave. – A male subject reportedly spit on an associate in the business. A second caller possibly hit a female subject at the gas station. One victim desired prosecution. A 35-year-old Los Angeles resident was arrested for assault and battery.

August 31, 2020

Burglary Report – 8:23 a.m. – 5000 block of Via Maria – A wallet and coins were reportedly stolen from an unlocked Honda Civic. A storage unit was also found open with no loss.
