According to information released on Tuesday, September 15, the Orange County Mosquito and Vector Control District reports one human West Nile Virus infection in Rossmoor, and one in Huntington Beach.

Positive mosquito samples were also found in the following cities in Orange County Breeze’s coverage area:

  • Anaheim, 60
  • Buena Park, 11
  • Cypress, 7
  • Garden Grove, 14
  • Huntington Beach, 7
  • Los Alamitos, 3
  • Rossmoor, 2
  • Seal Beach, 3
  • Stanton, 1
  • Westminster, 5

Dead birds that tested positive for West Nile Virus were found in the following cities:

  • Anaheim, 4
  • Cypress, 3
  • Huntington Beach, 5

Called oc Vector Control twice in the month of September 2020…asked them to spray at night and do a better job with standing water in street gutters in Cypress…some gutters have not been cleaned in weeks…they told me to call public works for Cypress…which I did…if Vector works with the cities and the general public input…Vector needs to do a better job ASAP…
