The Yes on 19 campaign announced that it has received endorsements from the California Hispanic Chambers of Commerce, the Latin Business Association, and the Regional Hispanic Chamber of Commerce. Proposition 19, also known as the Home Protection for Seniors, Severely Disabled, Families, and Victims of Wildfire or Natural Disaster Act, will provide millions of dollars in new funding annually for fire prevention and limits property tax increases for seniors, people with severe disabilities, families, and victims of wildfires and natural disasters. It will also generate hundreds of millions of dollars in annual revenue for local governments.
“The Hispanic Chamber of Commerce is supportive of Proposition 19 because it protects homeownership and provides property tax savings for families, seniors, and victims wildfire and natural disaster.” — Julian Canete, President and CEO, California Hispanic Chambers of Commerce
“Prop 19 would generate hundreds of millions of dollars for local governments to fund health care, homeless and community programs and support schools across the state. We must stand behind any and all measures that will fund these critical programs.” – Latin Business Association
